About the Role Position: Band Coach (Rock and Pop Music Teacher) Schedule: Monday - Friday, daytime only Proposed Start Date: February 2025 Travel: 45p per business mile, plus access to a motor assistance program Holiday: 10 weeks of fully paid school holidays Salary: Starting at £26,000 per annum Location: Canterbury based, teaching at multiple schools in Canterbury and the surrounding areas (Ashford, Hythe, Deal, Folkestone).
Travel to other locations may be required.
A full UK driving license and car are mandatory, please do not apply if you don't have these.

Key Responsibilities Deliver Rock and Pop Band Sessions: Teach groups of children across up to 10 primary schools per week.
Multi-Instrumental Instruction: Teach drums, keyboard, guitar, and vocals within a band setting (proficiency in at least two instruments required).
Build Relationships: Develop strong connections with students, parents, schools, and the broader community.
Facilitate Performances: Guide students as they prepare for and perform in their first live shows.
Manage Administrative Tasks: Complete daily administrative duties, approximately 30 minutes per day.
Student Certification: Assist students in achieving entry-level music qualifications within the RSL framework.
Active Engagement: Take on a physically active role, including setting up and breaking down musical equipment for each session.
Summer Camps: Participate in our exciting holiday club during the school holidays.
What We're Looking For Musical Proficiency: Ability to play at least two of the following instruments: drums, keyboard, guitar, or vocals, with strong overall music knowledge.
Valid UK Driving License and Access To Your Own Car: Essential for traveling between schools.
Organisational Skills: Strong ability to manage your schedule and tasks efficiently.
Passion and Confidence: A confident, enthusiastic individual who loves music and can build positive relationships with both children and adults.
