Join us to make a difference.The successful candidate will undertake structural and road maintenance works, including taking part in out of hours standby during summer/winter months to ensure roads are maintained in a safe condition.
The main purpose of the post is to undertake maintenance to the Council's bridges and retaining walls.
You will assist the Working Foreperson to ensure that high quality services and best value are delivered to service users by ensuring that all agreed plans are implemented efficiently and effectively.
The post holder will regularly be employed in specialist activities and will be expected to set out and to work to precise levels and requirements of major construction worksIt is essential that the successful candidate holds a current driving licence and has Leadership skills in a small teamAble to work on own initiativeKnowledge of masonry/concrete/shuttering operationsPrevious experience of major patching and surfacing operationsAbility to deal with technical staff and members of the public Our employees make good things happen in the day-to-day life and for the longer term future of Argyll and Bute.
