We're seeking a Road Safety Engineer on a contract basis to join their team.
This role is pivotal in spearheading the delivery of Road Safety Audits, post-fatal collision reporting, and collision analysis, aiming to develop effective solutions to identified safety issues.
You will be instrumental in making real change for customers who travel and live alongside England's largest road networks.
Key Responsibilities: Leading stage one, two, three, and four audits in accordance with GG119 Investigating and reporting on post-fatal collisions, working collaboratively with stakeholders to establish facts early in the investigation Coordinating and supporting the development of feasibility studies for improvements or renewals, considering new techniques, technologies, buildability, and costs Identifying and developing deliverable solutions to support IRAP star rating improvements to the Strategic Road Network (SRN) Ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of customers and employees throughout the planning and delivery of services Job Requirements: Chartered/Incorporated Engineer or working towards submission with a relevant professional body such as ICE/IHT or Road Safety Society Degree/HND or HNC in a relevant field such as civil engineering with relevant experience Proficiency in undertaking collision analysis and identifying risk areas to propose remedial solutions Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and ensure stakeholders are well-informed about priorities Knowledge of Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) standards, particularly GG119, and their application on the highways network Full clean driving licence as driving will be required as part of the role If you are a passionate and dedicated Road Safety Engineer looking for a new contract opportunity, we encourage you to apply now to make a significant impact on road safety across some of the largest networks in England
