Overview of Role: We have an exciting opportunity for a Risk Professional to join our diverse and thriving risk team.
We are seeking an ambitious individual with developing risk, controls and performance capabilities to support some of the most exciting clients and projects in the North of England.
This role will sit within the Programme Performance team with opportunities in the transport (rail, local transport, aviation, highways), infrastructure (energy, utilities, defence and technology) sectors as well as opportunities to grow into wider Programme Performance roles.
Responsibilities: Support the implementation of an integrated risk management framework across a major capital programme or project.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following: Support and facilitate identification, assessment and prioritisation of threats, benefits, efficiencies, opportunities and issues.
Drive a proactive focus on mitigation and realisation actions to meet client targets.
Strong communication and articulation skills, being able to confidently guide project teams, whilst avoiding risk jargon.
Monitor overall risk exposure and assess against the remaining risk contingency or budget.
Proactively identify acceleration or saving opportunities to better enable successful project delivery.
Support development of integrated Programme Performance dashboards that align risk data with scope and change, cost, schedule and benefits data to support better informed decision making.
Support and conduct integrated quantitative risk analysis (cost and schedule), including what-if scenarios to inform project contingency levels.
Bid and project management experience for public and private clients.
Committed to challenging the norm and identifying new and efficient ways of working.
Requirements: We are looking for candidates with developing experience in a risk delivery role on major infrastructure projects/programmes.
Working towards APM/IRM Risk certified.
