We are looking for a pro-active, self-motivated, and dynamic Risk Control and Partnering Consultant to join the Retail Risk business function.
Your role will present a great opportunity to work across our Retail Risk function in the Risk Advice team, where you will be an expert helping to ensure we are providing key risk support to risk teams and stakeholders.
The role will be critical in enabling compliance to internal policy, risk and controls frameworks which support performance expectations and good customer outcomes, meeting our strategic and operational risk objectives.
You'll be working alongside your colleagues in the Retail Risk to ensure that key risk, policy or process changes are safely delivered.
You'll be responsible for managing or supporting our understanding of the risk environment, deepening connections and helping leaders to make informed risk decisions.
You'll also provide insight, manage stakeholder interactions and support wider team priorities by working on or leading projects.

What you'll be doing Main responsibilities will be: Supporting the completion of gap analysis, regulatory information requests and embedding best practice to identify where risks or issues lay across Retail.
Often in collaboration with other 1 st , 2 nd and 3 rd line of defence teams.
Managing and maintaining critical risk data via the risk system 'MetricStream'.
You'll be responsible for creating and managing action plans of areas where improvements are required and keeping relevant stakeholders up to date on progress.
Providing subject matter expertise to projects, risk partners and stakeholders when queries arise.
Support with reviews from Audit, Compliance, Chief Controls Office and our regulators and analysing feedback at a process and functional level, articulating findings to stakeholders and managing subsequent actions.
Being data led and using risk information to decipher problems or provide key insight.
Working 'outside the box' and across Retail with an array of stakeholders to deliver business critical risk activities.
About you We are looking for someone who is highly organised, enthusiastic, who has great stakeholder and time management skills.
As a minimum you'll have: Experience within financial services working in a first line regulatory, control or risk environment.
The ability to analyse information using Microsoft Office applications to produce concise and informative reports and presentations in a timely manner with close attention to detail.
A logical, inquisitive mind with an interest in regulations, policies and processes with an eye to suggest improvements using your knowledge or experience.
Strong relationship management and influencing skills, to help build trust and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders across the business and externally.
A proactive, collaborative and solution-oriented approach.
Being able to think ahead and take planned action as appropriate.
Ideally you would hold or be working towards an IRM or equivalent risk qualification.
Knowledge of Enterprise Risk Management and working use of MetricStream would be an advantage.
