Job Description: We are seeking a skilled RF Test Engineer to join our development team in Cambridge, United Kingdom.
This individual will conduct measurements, set up, and develop measurement systems for product evaluation and characterization.
A key aspect of this role is providing the development engineers with crucial feedback from hardware measurements to ensure high correlation between design and hardware.
Proper documentation and attention to detail are critical, as is an understanding of both simple and complex RF measurements.
This role requires a proactive approach to ensuring test setups and measurements are robust, reliable, and well-documented, contributing directly to our goal of delivering high-quality RF modules.
  Key Responsibilities: Conduct RF measurements and evaluate product performance.
Set up and develop measurement systems for the characterization of RF products.
Provide timely and accurate feedback to development engineers to ensure design correlates closely with hardware.
Maintain detailed and precise documentation of measurement results and processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define measurement requirements and strategies.
Develop scripts or automation processes for test systems to ensure repeatability and efficiency.
Ensure compliance with RF test standards and perform equipment calibration.
Participate in design reviews and provide insights based on measurement outcomes.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues arising during testing phases.
Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
Strong understanding of RF concepts, including S-parameters, impedance matching, gain, noise figure and linearity.
Experience with RF test equipment such as network analysers, spectrum analysers, and signal generators.
Proficiency in conducting RF measurements and developing measurement setups.
Knowledge of RF measurement standards and compliance testing.
Ability to understand and interpret schematics and RF system-level diagrams.
Experience in scripting or programming for test automation (e.g., Python, MATLAB).
Excellent documentation skills with a high level of attention to detail.
Effective collaboration and communication skills, comfortable working in a team-oriented environment.
Proactive approach to problem-solving with a resilient attitude towards ambiguity.
