Job Title : Revit Technician Location : Bristol If you are a creative, talented, and ambitious designer, we have an exciting opportunity for you!
  Thorn Baker has teamed up with an integrated design company providing architectural, structural, product, and production process design services, and project management, to deliver a better built environment with Modern Methods of Construction.
And they have lots of fun too!
  Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA ) is their approach to delivering higher performing buildings that are economically, socially, and environmentally sustainable, and elegantly made and as more projects are coming in, they are looking for a Revit Technician to join their team.
  What's in it for you: Competitive salary commensurate on experience Generous pension scheme Training and development opportunities   Your Responsibilities: Prepare building designs and highly detailed models using Revit and AutoCAD.
Produce efficient and well-structured coordinated models, data and drawings that comply with quality standards.
Work to design procedures and use relevant project information to produce accurate design for manufacture and assembly information.
Monitor health and safety in design and prepare design risk assessments and residual risk registers.
Communicate design decisions to the project team.
Identify and resolve conflicts in information from diverse project sources.
Prepare specifications, scopes of work, and provide technical assessments of construction works packages.
Prepare, submit and co-ordinate Building Control applications and the subsequent discharge of any conditions.
Maintain a good understanding of Building Regulation Approved Documents, British and European Standards, Codes of Practice, BIM procedures and good working practices.
  Required Skills: Architectural / Environmental Design / Engineering degree or equivalent.
Experience of BIM Level 2 Standard in Revit , Design for Manufacture & Assembly ( DfMA ) , and Modern Methods of Construction (MMC).
Good working knowledge of Building Regulation Approved Documents, British and European Standards, Codes of Practice, BIM procedures.
Experience working on complex and large-scale projects.
Working knowledge of latest version of AutoCAD and Office 365.
