The Nationwide brand was very successfully relaunched in October 2023.
At the heart of the relaunch was a new brand visual identity fitting for a modern mutual.
Twelve months on, we are looking for a Retail Marketing Manager, who will be responsible for developing and executing superb marketing strategies that elevate our brand at a local level, on the nation's high streets.
This is an opportunity for someone highly literate in marketing and brand, but also capable of running a team, collaborating both across the customer function, and through the rest of Nationwide to ensure our brand on the high street is nurtured and protected, as one of our most priceless assets.
We're looking for a proactive, dynamic individual who has worked in retail marketing, a great communicator who will collaborate cross-function, and think creatively to solve campaign, design and creative conundrums.
This role reports to the Senior Manager - Integrated Brand Campaigns, Social and Content.

What you'll be doing Campaign Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute marketing campaigns for our branches, focusing on driving brand metrics and customer engagement.
In-Branch Campaigns: Plan and coordinate branch campaigns and activations to enhance the customer experience and drive foot traffic.
Digital Marketing Integration: Implement a new digital marketing strategy in across our branch network.
Market Analysis: Conduct regular market and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and stay ahead of retail trends.
Collaborative Ideation: Work with Brand Strategy & Integrated Comms Planning, Advertising, Campaigns, Design, Retail and other key stakeholders to ensure all marketing initiatives are consistent and impactful.
Brand Consistency: Uphold brand standards across all marketing materials, ensuring consistency and alignment with brand guidelines.
Budget Management: Manage and monitor marketing budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and strong return on investment.
Reporting & Analytics: Track, analyse, and report on campaign performance, using data to make informed decisions and optimise future initiatives.
Ad hoc projects: Lead and assist the Senior Manager on a range of ad-hoc projects and programmes of work About you As a minimum you will have: Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, Brand or a related field Experience in retail marketing, brand management, or a similar role Strong understanding of retail marketing strategy and tactics, including retail promotions, digital marketing, and customer engagement strategies Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to handle multiple campaigns simultaneously A leader, who inspires, sets high standards and pushes for better Data-driven mindset with experience in analysing metrics and making data-based decisions Creative thinker with a passion for driving brand awareness and engaging customers Precision proof-reader, with attention to detail like no other.
