Role Purpose: Track and report performance of the Retail Channel vs agreed KPI's, producing regular data to support weekly, monthly and quarterly report cycles Through data analysis, support the planning and delivery of key initiatives across the Retail Channel to continually improve retail execution, in line with annual planning Support achievement of sales and Good Causes budget by ensuring the Retail Team develop, execute and deliver retail and marketing plans effectively Execute deep dive analysis to identify root cause issues and potential solutions This is a permanent role with the expectation that candidates will work 2 days per week from our Watford HQ.
Role Responsibilities: Work with Retail Analyst & Insight Manager to analyse data, provide summaries, highlight trends, callout risks & make recommendations on findings across multiple areas of retail delivery Support the building of decks and documents to cascade information to retail functions through their team meetings and regular workgroups such as RCSG and BPSG Work with Retail Analyst & Insight Manager to provide weekly and monthly reporting to the Retail Leadership team & maintain key retail reporting to ensure the field team can meet KPI deliverables.
Support improving Retail Channel capabilities, processes, and tools Support development of ways to deliver great in store execution of the National Lottery within customers.
Support with the development of new reports and dashboards, within new reporting software, to give deeper data and insight to the wider retail team Champion new reporting tools and benefits amongst the wider team Work closely with Data and Insights and the Commercial Planning & Trading team to ensure best in class, methodologies, and processes are in place within the retail team Support the Retail Analyst & Insight Manager with ad hoc tasks or projects as needed Key Measures of Success: Provision of accurate and timely Retail reporting for key stakeholders.
Synthesis of multiple data points into relevant and actionable insight.
Distillation of complex and detailed analysis into simple and clear insight summaries Proactive identification of opportunities and risks to delivery of the Retail Channel KPIs.
Focused analysis on opportunities or risks that add most value to the business.
Being the champion of the Retail team, ensuring that all key requirements are embedded into scope of new reporting systems.
Key Skills and Experience: Must have previous data analysis experience, preferably from Retail but not essential Advanced experience of Microsoft Office suite necessary Experience working with Power BI data analytics platform preferable Strong numerical skills and experienced in understanding large data sets, able to handle this either through Excel or Power BI Knowledge of sales impact analysis and achievement of ROI Naturally curious, with the ability to decipher and effectively scrutinise data to identify anomalies or patterns.
Understand the importance of commercial delivery and how that is inextricably linked to specific retail sales levers.

Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise workload based on requirements and flex accordingly as business priorities change Collaborative, with experience of working across different teams, often at the same time, and can take charge in getting to clear solutions that can be presented back to the business Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to articulate and present with impact to senior stakeholders and challenge the norm.
