Retail Client Partner - Deliveroo Shopping We're on a mission to help customers make the most of every moment, unlocking brand new customer missions by connecting the most beloved high street brands with customers' doors; from baby to petcare, health and beauty to electronics, gifting and so much more. We are growing the UKI Retail team and building category specialist pods to manage our growing cohort of National Account Partners and to accelerate the pitching and onboarding of new exciting partners.
The Role As Retail Client Partner, you will own the full spectrum of sales for your categories using your leadership and strategic acumen to set the new partner acquisition strategy and lead the relationships with our most important retail partners. Leading a small team of Account Managers, you will be responsible for the growth and development of your categories with a focus on A) new business: pitching, negotiating and onboarding new retail partners to expand selection and B) growing your category: increasing orders & GTV while driving the best customer outcomes through world-class account management.
Working on a brand new vertical as we build it means you will often have to overcome challenges that Deliveroo is facing for the first time, shaping the future of the business and our relationship with our customers, riders, and partners.
You will: Lead a team of Account Managers to pitch, negotiate and onboard new retail partners onto the platform.Lead growth for your categories including accounts growth strategy, building on opportunity and driving platform growth.Define and execute joint business plans with your portfolio of partners.Coach your team to maximise the potential and opportunities of their accounts and work with colleagues in operations and marketing to deliver campaigns and improve service levels.Own the contract negotiation and renewal process with your partners to agree terms that unlock mutual value.Support Deliveroo's business leaders in setting the longer-term commercial strategy and partner value proposition for your segments.Act as a leader for the growing retail team, creating an inclusive, multi-functional team culture that drives team engagement and high performance.The Candidate: The successful candidate requires a high level of commercial skills and a go-getter attitude, with excellence in selling, negotiation and account management, combined with the passion and drive to shape the culture of an inclusive, sustainable high-performing team.
The desired skills/experiences include: A proven business performance record – must demonstrate a successful track record of revenue growth in account-facing roles including new business development.The ability to define and implement a B2B partner-focused plan, developing creative solutions to complex problems.Well-developed influencing skills and the ability to flex your style to all levels and situations.An experienced account leader with a growth mindset.
