Job Summary Working on behalf of my acclaimed Cambridge Client , We are looking for a motivated Retail Assistant to join my prestigious clients front of house and coffee shop team.
In this role, you will provide a professional, efficient, and friendly service to students, staff, and visitors, ensuring an exceptional experience in this vibrant setting.
Key Responsibilities Open and lock up the premises on time.
Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in all areas, ensuring appropriate levels of service, equipment, beverages, and glassware are always available.
Adhere to proper storage methods, stock rotation, and stock holding practices.
Serve drinks, including alcoholic beverages and coffees, alongside light snacks.
Provide service for an extensive cocktail menu (full training provided).
Operate the till and balance cash and credit receipts at the end of each session.
Maintain strong product knowledge of beverages to assist customers effectively.
Cellar Work Prepare wines and other drinks for meals and functions as required.
Change beer barrels and gas cylinders as needed.
Assist in weekly beer line cleaning.
Keep accurate records in accordance with established processes.
Ensure compliance with health and safety practices and high hygiene standards.
Operate the bar within licensing laws and under the guidance of the Licensee.
Conferences/Hall Dinners Serve refreshments during conferences and to guests in various locations within the College.
Assist food service staff in Upper Hall or other dining areas, including collecting glasses after Hall dinners for washing.
Help prepare drinks for garden parties and assist with serving as needed.
Collaborate with Front of House staff across all locations.
General Responsibilities Participate in the appraisal scheme and undertake necessary training.
Take responsibility for your own health and safety in the workplace.
Comply fully with all College policies, including equality of opportunity and data protection.
Be flexible with working hours, especially during peak times to meet departmental expectations.
Undertake any other reasonable requests or duties as required.
