Predominantly based in the North West, from their Chester HQ along with regional offices in Burnley and Huntingdon in Cambridgeshire.

As part of this transformation, an opportunity has arisen in their North Region, for a Responsive Maintenance Team Leader.
This is an agile working role, with a healthy split between office, site and home working, with an expectation to travel across the Group's North Region.
The annual salary is £40,226 plus a company vehicle and fuel card.
Job Purpose: To support the Responsive Maintenance Manager in the effective delivery of the strategic and operational management and objectives.
Be responsible for managing operatives directly and indirectly on a daily basis, this could also include some cross working across work streams within the organisation.
To monitor, inspect and arrange for cyclical and day to day repairs to be carried out to Muir properties, ensuring compliance with target timescales and high-quality standards.
To ensure that contractors comply with the Muir Group Health and Safety framework across all scopes of work.
For void works complete a post inspection confirming all works have been completed.
Conduct all operatives 1 2 1s.
Conduct site inspections to manage operative and subcontractor workmanship and Health and Safety procedures.
Ensure these are recorded and actions followed up - liaising with the Health and Safety Manager.
To manage designated workstreams.
Main Duties and Responsibilities: Develop the capability and capacity of the operational teams in order to meet current and future business objectives To manage and ensure Health and Safety is carried out to the company's policy and procedures and in line with CDM regulations To lead on budget control on designated contracts To manage all sub-contractors under direct supervision To manage operatives under direct supervision, including all HR functions To liaise and work with clients that we have a contractual agreements with To carry out regular vehicle inspections as per Muir Group policy To assist with pricing works for any new contracts To monitor suppliers that work with Muir Group either under contract or by short term agreements Liaise with residents and customers on a daily basis regarding repair issues, progress of works and complaints.
Keep residents informed of progress and timescales on repairs to their properties and liaise with all relevant parties, both internal and external, on cases where specific support measures are required To ensure and maintain that VFM is at the forefront of any contract or any purchasing on behalf of the company Provide technical and general advice to all Muir staff on maintenance issues when so required To prepare and monitor Performance Indicators relevant to allocated projects and contracts and to monitor the implementation of appropriate resultant remedial action plans On a rota basis provide management support for the out of hours service To carry out regular vehicles inspections as per Group policies Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge: Relevant building surveying, maintenance or construction management qualification and or equivalent experience (E) Health and Safety Qualification IOSH (D) or NEBOSH (D) SSSTS or SMSTS Qualification (E) Educated to HNC standard in a building related discipline (E) Asbestos Awareness (E) NVQ L3 Site Supervisor (D) Experience of contracts and supporting a team in a busy operational setting Excellent knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and requirements Experience of managing and co-ordinating contractors working on a variety of construction and maintenance projects and contracts from inception through to conclusion of defect rectification (E) Knowledge of budgets planning and performance reporting Experience of the use of Microsoft office software in particular Outlook, Word, Excel and Access Experience of writing and presenting reports Experience of operating a computerised data base system Dealing with Customer Experience throughout planned works project Please note that direct approaches and speculative CV's will be directed to Castlefield Recruitment to be included in the recruitment process.
