Having been awarded as'Outstanding' in a recent CQC inspection, we are Kent's leading provider of NHS services in the community and we are looking for ahighly motivated respiratory specialist practitioner to join our specialist respiratory team in East you successfully secure this post you would work alongside an established multi-disciplinary team and in addition hold a caseload ofcomplex patients with a range of respiratory conditions that require specialist input.
You would autonomously manage the assessment,planning, delivery and evaluation of patient care and utilise a whole systems approach when supporting admission avoidance for thisclient group.
Main duties of the job As a specialist practitioner, you will deliver excellent patient care along a care pathway across organisational boundaries; your role willinvolve acting as a specialist resource and providing education to the wider multi-disciplinary team across the health economy.
This willinclude putting in place management plans for patients who have complex respiratory return for your hard work we can offer you a flexible working environment; personal development and a comprehensive corporate andlocal induction programme.
As a trust, we strongly believe in making sure you have the right support, resources and training to enjoy yourjob and we provide a range of services to keep you in the best of currently have bases in four localities across East Kent and whilst the successful applicant will be based in the Canterbury locality,they will be expected to be flexible in their approach and travel to other areas within East Kent when post is for 30 hours per week based in our Canterbury area and we will consider a band 6 or a band 5 development post looking toachieve a band 6 role who demonstrates a passion to work within the respiratory as a trust will support with learning, development and progression.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Registered health care professional (NMC or HCPC registration) / minimum of 3 years post qualification experience.
Evidence of ongoing CPD with implementation in practice within the last 12 months and demonstrates a passion for respiratory care and management.
Desirable Evidence of teaching or practice educator course.
Completion of a leadership module.
Completion of a respiratory module at Diploma or Degree level Experience Essential Minimum of 2 years experience in community or respiratory area of practice and working with patients who have a wide range of physical healthcare needs within a multi-agency MDT Desirable Experience of working within both acute and community care Experience Essential Experience of managing a complex caseload and supporting others as a mentor/educator/supervisor Desirable Experience with the use of Microsoft Office and a variety of IT packages (e-pay/e-roster/TAPS/RIO).
Special Knowledge and Expertise Essential Understanding of National Service Frameworks and NICE Guidance relevant to care setting and its application across health care services.
Good underlying knowledge of respiratory disorders and their management and a good level of understanding and practice with regards to respiratory investigations.
Desirable Basic qualification in CBT or willingness to undertake.
Special Knowledge and Expertise Essential Be accountable for own practice and understand continuing responsibility for the management of a caseload.
Demonstrate ability to work with clients utilising motivational interviewing approach in self-management, lifestyle changes and offer support during times of anxiety/deterioration Skills and Abilities Essential Ability to manage time effectively, prioritise and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Capacity to work both autonomously and as a team member Desirable Competent in the undertaking of respiratory investigations such as: Spirometry, Inhaler technique, capillary blood gases.
Skills and Abilities Essential Ability to work effectively with a variety of people at all organisational levels across different sectors including areas of social deprivation and ability to communicate complex, sensitive information to individuals and groups.
