Residential Youth Support Worker (Trauma-Informed)

The Role :As a Trauma-Informed Youth Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in the lives of young people who require social, emotional, and mental health support.
Your responsibilities will include: Providing day-to-day care and support to young people.
Assisting in daily routines to ensure their well-being.
Assist with daily living activities and medication administration as required.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including healthcare professionals, to ensure holistic care.Organising and participating in recreational activities.
Creating a safe and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities: Building positive nurturing relationships with vulnerable young people with complex needs.Empower and motivate young people to achieve their goals and overcome difficult emotions and behaviours.
Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere within the home.
Maintain accurate records and documentation.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for the young people in your care.
Commitment to personal wellbeing and healthy reflective practice.
Requirements: Commitment to working a shift pattern including sleep in duties + overtime / Monday-Sunday.Full UK driving licence What you'll bring: Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to make a difference in young people's lives.
A willingness to work towards or current qualification in QCF level 3 in Residential Childcare.
Previous experience providing emotional and behavioural support in a professional setting is highly desirableWillingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends to meet operational needs of the homePositive role model – honesty and empathy are a must.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
