There are many benefits to the role as well as working in a beautiful setting the salary is up to £17200 based on hour weeks in term time.You will work with a collaborative Care team to provide a high standard of care to children and young people with a vision impairment.
You will foster a positive environment for the delivery of the waking day curriculum and to ensure high quality documentation within Care.
You will supervise and support staff to work with students in a proficient and sensitive manner that will enhance both their academic and social development.You will line manage the Residential Key Workers setting objectives, monitoring performance, completing regular supervisions and appraisals and ensuring accurate and professional records are kept and monitor the care staff rotas and organise staff cover where required.You will support the students in coming to terms with the effect of vision and other impairments and manage Care staff to be able to effectively achieve this outcome.
You will ensure trusting relationships are developed between staff and students, whilst respecting professional boundaries.
You will manage staff to maintain high quality student behaviour and deal appropriately with challenging behaviour and to administer and document rewards and sanctions as appropriate.With appropriate training, to administer medication and first aid to students, ensuring all processes are followed and recorded accurately and safely.
You will provide personal or intimate care to students who require this support.
