Residential Support Worker (Waking Nights) Salary:??£23,151.50 per annum (pro-rata) Location:? Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire Contract/Hours: Permanent, Part-Time - 33 hours a week - hours are 22.00 to 09.00 x 3 shifts per week.

About the service Short Breaks at West Hyde is a provision for children and young people with a wide variety of additional needs including learning difficulties, complex behaviour, and complex health needs, between the ages of 5 and 18 years old.
The primary aim is for those who visit to have fun, enjoy themselves and make friends in a safe environment where they feel comfortable and valued whilst we offer them the same opportunities that other children their age may have.
West Hyde has an Ofsted rating of 'Good' and is always striving for 'Outstanding'.
You will build bonds with children and support them with day-to-day personal needs and promoting their independence.

How you'll help to create brighter futures? We are now seeking a Residential Support Worker to help us maintain the high standards of care and personal development our young people have come to expect.
You will instil your compassion and ambition in everything you do, always with our young people at the front of mind.
In the role as a Residential Support Worker, you will be promoting Action for Children's values as well as supporting the Registered Manager, Service Coordinator and Teams Leaders to achieve positive outcomes for the young person.
You will be supporting the children on the night shift.
You will support by: Providing lead case/care planning management, including assessing, reviewing and managing risk.
Co-ordinating responsibilities within the service, with multi agency and producing family information, including analysis and written reports.
Attending professional meetings including reviews, court work etc.
Being resilient in supporting the young people through challenging situations.
Let's talk about you, ideally you will have: Demonstrable experience of working in a care setting and developing positive relationships through trust Application of a range of techniques to co-ordinate and communicate with service users and their families.
Demonstrate a solution focused approach to address problems, individually and in a team setting.
Demonstrate emotional resilience to respond to the challenging nature of the role.
Possess a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or recognised equivalent) or if you do not possess this you must be prepared to complete this within 2 years of commencing employment with us, full support will be provided.
