The role is working 4 on 4 off on a rota basis.The RoleTo build trust and develop nurturing relationships which promote the service user's independence, wellbeing, strengths, and capabilities.To work in partnership and build relationships with parents/carers and other professionals.To contribute to the upkeep of the home including cooking, cleaning etc.To document information accurately and ensure records are kept up to date.To ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to.To promote, monitor and maintain a safe environment at all times.EssentialMust hold the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare OR be willing to successfully achieve this within the required timeframe.Relevant experience working with children & young people in a children's home setting.Flexibility to commit to shift work, including weekends and bank holidays.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.There is an expectation for night staff to make themselves available during the day with advance notice at scheduled times to attend mandatory training and ongoing group supervision and consultation in line with duties related to their role.Benefits26 days annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing after 5 years serviceThe ability to buy up to another 5 days annual leave via our HolidayPlus schemeA host of family friendly leave options including company Maternity Paternity and Adoption pay; together with all family additional leave optionsService related sick pay from day 1Access to a Group Personal Pension with a matched 4% or 6% contribution from Barnardo's.
