Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of individuals with learning disabilities? We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Learning Disability Support Worker to join our team, delivering high-quality, person-centred care in a residential setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individualised support to residents, promoting their independence and overall well-being.Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and administering medication.Build strong, trusting relationships with residents, helping them reach their full potential.Use positive behaviour support strategies to manage and support residents with challenging behaviours.Organise and encourage participation in social activities and community engagement to improve quality of life.Collaborate closely with health care professionals, families, and colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for residents.Maintain detailed records and contribute to care planning, adhering to all relevant health and social care standards.Requirements:
Previous experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities (essential).Compassionate, patient, and excellent communication skills.Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.A strong commitment to delivering high-quality care in line with safeguarding policies.If you're motivated by making a real difference and want to join a team that provides life-changing support, we'd love to hear from you!
