Job Title: Residential Support Staff Job Type: Full time and part time Job Location: Colchester School Setting: Residential Unit Specialist SEN School Contract Type: Contract, View to Permanent   REF: SENDIRECT/191641 Rate: Up tp £52 an hour plus sleep in allowance Start Date: Immediately   SENDirect is working with a client to recruit dedicated Residential Support Staff for a specialist residential unit supporting pupils who board from Monday to Thursday nights.
This rewarding role involves working closely with children and young people with special educational needs, helping them thrive in a supportive environment.
You will participate in various activities and assist with daily routines to ensure the well-being and development of each student.

  Key Responsibilities Support pupils during their time at the residential unit, including participating in activities, trips, and evening routines such as meals, breakfast, and bedtime.
Provide care in line with the school's therapeutic approach to behaviour and learning.
Assist with personal care and housekeeping duties as needed.
Help create a safe, nurturing environment for students' personal, social, and emotional development.
  Qualifications and Experience A Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People's Social Care (or equivalent), or a willingness to work towards this qualification.
Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs is preferable.
Strong interpersonal skills and a caring attitude towards supporting young people.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
