Bidwells Research team is looking for a Residential Senior Researcher/Associate to work alongside our Research Director.
Bidwells is a research led business focused across a series of clearly defined high growth areas.
We are seeking a Senior Researcher / Associate to play a key role in building our residential business, as well as supporting close long-term relationships with our clients.
This is an exciting opportunity to build presence in a market leading environment.
The Bidwells Research remit encompasses the areas in which Bidwells has leading positions, including science and technology, logistics, renewables, carbon capture and natural capital, and residential.
The Oxford – Cambridge Arc is the geographical focus of some our work, but many of our business areas have a national presence and reputation.
The residential business spans strategic land, planning, development advisory, capital markets and sales and lettings.
This new position will play a central role in supporting the growth of the Bidwells residential business, working closely with our BTR and co-living teams.
The role will take responsibility for evolving and delivering our residential research programme.
The research team is small and therefore the structure is flat with everyone bringing specific areas of expertise.
Within this position you will work with teams across our offices, engage directly with clients on instructions, as well as speak at industry events.
What you'll be doing: The primary responsibility of this position will be to take the lead on regular residential research outputs as well as initiate new projects, working closely with the business and its clients.
Specifically, the role will: Deliver a limited suite of market reports in conjunction with business teams.
Lead on residential focused thought leadership research with the support of other members of the research team.
Projects to be delivered in-house or with consultants / academics as appropriate.
Authoring reports and blogs on residential market trends.
Liaise with the marketing and communications team to ensure maximum business impact is achieved for research outputs.
Oversee (and develop as needed) our bespoke residential data.
Present at Bidwells internal and client events.
Work closely with the Bidwells Operational Living consultancy team to maximise synergies for the business as a whole.
Build an understanding of the Commercial and Energy & Climate Change research programmes to secure the best from our wider research for the residential business.
About you: Approximately 5+ years of previous real estate research experience.
A background in economics would be preferable.
Residential market experience and a keenness to build connections across the other sectors in which Bidwells operates.
An innovative thinker with a genuine interest in understanding in rapidly evolving sectors.
Track record in undertaking qualitative and/or quantitative research, including experience of analysing the relevant demographic, economic and employment datasets.
Experience engaging with senior business leaders and clients.
Project management experience.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Strong writing, editing and proof-reading skills.
