Team Leader - Young Adults Residential Care About the Role Were looking for an experienced Team Leader to join our 6-bed Young Adults Residential Service supporting individuals aged 18-40 with moderate to severe learning disabilities and additional health needs.
In this pivotal role, youll not only lead shifts but also work closely with the management team to provide 24-hour specialist care and foster a positive, safe, and nurturing environment.
This position is shift-based , working 40 hours per week, including weekends, with responsibilities that balance hands-on support and administrative tasks, such as CQC audits , risk assessments, staff supervisions, and rota management.
Key Responsibilities: Lead by example in providing high-quality, person-centered care Oversee and mentor support staff, ensuring the effective operation of the service Manage and conduct CQC inspections, audits, and staff supervisions Encourage young adults to achieve their full potential by supporting skill development and independence What We Offer In addition to a starting salary of £29,120 (with potential for overtime), youll benefit from our comprehensive benefits package , including: Funded DBS and renewals Private health cashback plan and online GP access Death in service benefit (2x salary) Contributory pension Blue Light discount card Annual leave purchase scheme Extensive training and development opportunities Annual awards, recognition events, and more Qualifications & Experience To be considered for this role, you must have: NVQ Level 3 Diploma or QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent Experience as a Team Leader, Shift Leader, or Senior Support Worker in a residential setting At least 2 years experience supporting adults with learning disabilities A valid drivers license Preferred Skills: Strong knowledge of Care and Support Plans Proficiency in CQC standards and auditing Conflict management and high-pressure problem-solving skills About Progress Progress has been a trusted provider of residential, supported living, and fostering services for 24 years, known for our commitment to quality care and development.
