You will be required to carry out personal care, behaviour strategies and engage our young people in a variety of tasks and activities.Experience required; Qualification held must fully meet the SSSC requirement for Unconditional Registration.
The sole exception to this is for candidates who have achieved the necessary practice qualification (e.g.
HNC in Social services) and have only the optional SVQIII modules to be completed to be awarded the SVQIII Social Services (Children and Young People) SCQF Level 7.Applicants must be eligible and prepared to register with the Scottish Social Services Council as a Residential Child Care Work This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act .
The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.
Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required.
You will be required to provide this check.
