Job Title: Reservations Manager Company: Deluxe Hotel Location: Hampshire Salary: £40,000 pa (Plus service charge) We are working closely with a luxury and deluxe hotel property based in the picturesque Hampshire/Surrey borders, who have an enticing opening to join the property as Reservations Manager, to oversee the reservations team.
Reporting to the General Manager, as Reservations Manager you will accept guest reservations and group bookings at all times offering the highest standards of customer service ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities: Having full responsibility for the reservation department and being the main point of contact in resolving any issues that may arise Lead, train and ensure that the reservations team are providing a five-star service to all customers and clients.
To carry out proactive Performance Reviews of the Reservations Staff and to motivate staff towards the Hotels Objectives and their own careers Ensure that all reservations staff are in the correct uniform, well presented and that any replacement or new uniforms are dealt with immediately Be competent and confident, and able to train in the use of all the IT systems currently used at reception and ensure that all the equipment is functioning/operating correctly and to be able to fix or arrange as necessary Attend and be a proactive member of the Yield Management Team for the hotel and Ensure that the Reservations Supervisor is able to deputise in your absence Attend all HOD meetings to represent the reservations team Ensure that reservations staff are efficient and competent in sales tasks and understand the selling strategies Aid, in conjunction with the General Manager in setting the Hotels Business Objectives Encourage and nurture new ideas/procedures that are deemed beneficial to the development of the hotels business and sales Control all purchasing to be within the departments budget as set out in the business plan Ensure that all guest and function billing is accurate, room rates are checked, pro forma invoices and re-charges to guests (e.g.
flowers, champagne etc) are correct, with any applicable mark ups applied Reconcile all commission claims Prepare all the appropriate reports to aid in the Sales and Yield strategies Key responsibility for: Health and safety and all matters within room divisions Effectively plan the departmental rota taking into consideration training, meetings and other departments needs You: It is essential that you have extensive experience in Reservation Management with a proven ability to manage a team, gained from the hotel industry.
Shift work is required, including planned weekend rota, so flexibility is key, alongside excellent planning and organisational skills.
Knowledge of hotel operational systems and procedures is essential , whilst being adaptable to the ever changing hotel environment.
