Title: Researcher
Basis: Full time, Permanent
Location: Central London
Salary: Very competitive
Reports to: Senior Fine Art Researcher
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): In depth research of artworks Provenance research, attributions, and bibliography Cataloguing, documenting and updating database accordingly Writing entries based on specialist research (including provenance, bibliography compilation and illustration lists) Working on loan requests Working on publication projects Proof reading and fact checking Archival research Provide administrative support to senior staff Consult and liaise with experts, curators and institutions internationally to obtain artwork/image/artist information and documents Person Specification: Please note that a BA and MA in History of Art are essential for the role .

At least 2 years of experience working in the art industry Educated to at least Masters level in History of Art Experience researching artworks, clients, sourcing and performing provenance checks Great writer academically; experience of writing for web highly advantageous Confident and able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills Detail oriented person Affable and polished Fluent in written and spoken English, with any additional languages highly desirable Highly motivated Please note that we cannot provide visa sponsorship for this role.
