About the role We are looking for talented postdoctoral researchers to join our team and help us fulfil the project's goals, producing quality research.
The researchers should have strong background in wireless communications and communication theory.
The researchers need to possess strong expertise in performance analysis using statistical tools and communication theory.
Expert knowledge in tools such as statistical analysis, order statistics, asymptotic analysis and etc.
will be essential.The work will include mathematical modelling, problem formulation, algorithm development, mathematical analysis, simulations and testing, and publishing high-quality research papers in high-ranked journals.
Also, the researchers are expected to take responsibility for promoting research activities on FAS by working on Workshop and tutorial proposals to international conferences, managing LinkedIn posts, maintaining the FAS project webpages and etc.The successful candidates will work within an established research team led by Prof. Kai-Kit Wong.The posts are available immediately for 12 months in the first instance.

About you Candidates should have a PhD degree (or about to submit) in a relevant subject area, or similar experience demonstrated via publications in international journals/conferences or patents.
Knowledge of Wireless Communications, including signal processing and mathematical analysis for Wireless Communications is essential, as is significant experience in the analysis, design and simulation of advanced communication systems.
Applicants should have strong programming skills in Matlab and Python or relevant.Evidence of participation in funded R&D projects in the UK or overseas in some of the areas of: Wireless communications, MIMO, RIS, optimisation, machine learning and game theoretic methods is desirable.If the successful candidate has not yet been awarded their PhD, appointment will be made as a Research Assistant (Grade 6B).
Payment at Grade 7 will be backdated to the date of final submission of the PhD thesis including corrections, once the PhD has been awarded.
The salary scale for Research Assistant (Grade 6B),point 25-28.
