Job summary We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic Research and Innovation Facilitator to join us in the Research and Innovation Team at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals (DBTH) NHS Foundation Trust for 18 months.
The Research and Innovation team sits within the Education and Research Directorate.This post forms part of the research support team who set-up and performance manage the delivery of high quality research, across a diverse set of clinical specialities.
We are looking for someone who has: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal, with ability to demonstrate fluency, clarity and effectiveness at all levelsFrequently maintain high levels of concentration to ensure accuracy for data managementAn enthusiastic, methodical and proactive approach to problem solvingFrequently maintain high levels of concentration to ensure accuracy for data managementAbility to use initiative and be innovative when using own judgement to problem solve within the appropriate scope of the job.Ability to plan, prioritise and manage deadlines as work is managed rather than supervised Main duties of the job The post holder will work in the research team based at Doncaster Royal Infirmary, led by the Head of Research and will be involved in delivering the research objectives of the Trust, including: To critically review study documentation for study capability and capacity review, as well as appropriate amendment assessments;Liaise with internal support service colleagues to set up studies in an efficient and timely way;Provide advice around research regulations and policies to all staff as required;Maintain specialist knowledge of changes in NIHR Portfolio management, research management requirements and use of specific databases, and ensure updates and changes are implemented into practice;Deliver internal training to anyone requiring access to research database (EDGE System);Assist with the issuing of Letters of Access and Honorary Research Contracts via the NIHR Research Passport scheme; About us Doncaster & Bassetlaw NHS FT is one of Yorkshire's Leading acute trusts, serving a population of more than 420,000 across South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire, and the surrounding areas.
