The Research and Impact Coordinator post will operate across the King's Foundation's education, academic and practice-based teams.
Working alongside colleagues, they will coordinate efforts to provide an ongoing evidence base for our work, to embed research and impact evaluation across our programmes and to assist in disseminating outcomes.
As a diverse and growing organisation operating across four centres in the UK, seven centres internationally and with over a dozen projects spanning the globe, this role will be central in coordinating the implementation of our recently redeveloped strategy for measuring our impact and providing both internally and externally facing research.
Key Tasks Specific duties will include: Research and Impact Coordination Working closely with the Executive Director (Education) to implement the organisation's impact and research strategy Alongside colleagues in the academic and research team, support the production of systematic reviews and literature reviews on our areas of work, both within and across individual sectors Liaising regularly with colleagues in the education department, including curriculum managers, to help embed impact and research into the development and delivery of programmes and courses Working closely with members of the academic and research teams to coordinate internal and external facing research outputs based on our work and engagements In coordination with members of the education team, identify opportunities to utilise the research and impact work to develop innovative new programmes to complement the existing education landscape Supporting the fundraising and development team to translate the outcomes of the research and impact work into the fundraising initiatives Coordinating the production of public facing publications (both academic and consumer focused) Working with partners and stakeholders to ensure close collaboration on research and impact work on joint/partnered initiatives and programmes Administrative Maintain effective administrative systems, policies, and procedures to provide an organised and efficient structure for the delivery of our research and impact work General Where appropriate represent the Foundation as a subject expert Work with other King's Foundation departments to ensure learning is shared across the organisation It is in the nature of the work of the King's Foundation that tasks and responsibilities arise that can be unpredictable and varied.
All staff are therefore expected to work in a flexible way when the occasion arises.
Person Specification The essential skills, knowledge and experience required are: Relevant degree level qualification (Master's degree and above desirable).
An understanding of and experience working within the monitoring and evaluation landscape, with a particular focus on impact frameworks Experience with qualitative, quantitative and mixed methods research Excellent project management experience, overseeing multiple projects.
An understanding and interest in the principles of sustainability, and how these relate to industry and education sectors.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain a network of stakeholder relationships.
Ability to work proactively and flexibly under pressure and to achieve set objectives.
Strong leadership skills and demonstrable innovation in approach.
Strong organisation skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Understanding of and support for the ethos and principles underlying The King's Foundation and our Harmony ethos.
The ability to communicate efficiently and clearly in spoken and written language with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
Confident use of computers, and ability to create high quality presentations.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (PowerPoint, Excel and Word), Windows XP, Adobe.
Some travel within the UK and occasionally overseas may be necessary.
Location The post is based at one of the King's Foundation's Offices at the Dumfries House Estate (Scotland), Highgrove House (Gloucestershire) or one of our two London centres.
Other: Your working hours will be 37.5 hours per week (including occasional evening and weekend working) This position will be a 12 month fixed term contract with an aspiration to become a permanent role.
