To issue and authorise written reports in yourown name and registration number, and to be accountable for these reports.
To ensure that any images demonstratingsignificant pathology are dealt with promptly, and the referring clinician isalerted as soon as possible.To be responsible for working within your owncompetency and referring anything outside your competency to a ReportingRadiographer colleague or Consultant Radiologist To be aware of your limitations and refer onwhen required.To monitor image quality across the service,ensuring consistent high-quality technique, identifying any issues/errors andprovide effective feedback and education to radiographers as required.To continuously audit your own reportingstandards, participating in the quarterly peer review within the reportingradiographer team.To provide expert advice / support toclinicians, radiographers, general practitioners, and other healthcareprofessionals.To work to the standards of performance andethics laid down by the Health Care Professions Council.
To maintain high standards of appearance,professional attitude, and punctuality.Toobserve and adhere to Healthshare policies, including Health & Safetyrequirements, at all times.CommunicationCommunicateeffectively with colleagues at all levels within Healthshare and externalhealth professionals including clerical and clinical staff by both verbal andwritten means.
To ensure written reports and examinationdetails are entered on to the Radiology Information System accurately and in atimely manner.To ensure unexpected or urgent findings arecommunicated appropriately according to Healthshare protocols.To provide effective feedback to radiographicstaff on technical issuesTo attend quarterly clinical governancemeetings when requiredAnalytical & PlanningTo take an active role in service improvementwithin Healthshare.To participate in Healthshares auditprogrammeTo maintain a personal commitment to CPD, maintainingyour knowledge base and awareness of all current radiographic issues.To participate in in-house and externally runcourses / study days as required.
To be responsible for regular audit of yourwork to ensure high sensitivity and accuracy of reports.To maintainup to date registration with HCPC Person Specification Qualifications Essential HCPC/GMC registration Degree level education
