Rent & Income Officer

Role:                      Rent & Income Officer Salary:                  £29,289 per annum Location:              Axbridge, Somerset   The Company: A Somerset based Social Housing partnership who build and provide new homes, and invest in existing properties, offering a commitment to high standards of service to tenants, and investing in people to give their best service.
The role: Rent collection and arrears recovery processes in a social housing environment.
Based out of their Somerset Office.
The option to work from home and from the office under companies' working policy, (subject to business need)   The Candidate will need: Relevant experience of managing rent and arrears collection Knowledge of rent arrears procedures and best practice within a social housing setting Knowledge of pre-court protocol and housing legislation Experience of undertaking legal action to recover rent arrears The ability to prioritise and be flexible in a dynamic and agile environment Experience of dealing with complex situations and vulnerable people Clear and effective communication skills A commitment to meaningful engagement with tenants Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and Housing Management systems A relevant professional qualification or willingness to undertake further training as required for the role Requirements A full driving licence and own vehicle    Summary: Monday – Friday Position It would be mainly Hybrid but there would be the need to attend Court in Somerset.
