We're seeking a Renewable Energy Systems Developer (aka The Sustainable Systems Architect) to design, develop, and optimize systems that harness renewable energy sources and enhance energy efficiency across sectors.
As a Renewable Energy Systems Developer at our client , you'll work with engineers, data scientists, and environmental experts to create robust renewable energy systems for applications ranging from residential solar arrays to large-scale wind farms and innovative storage solutions.
Your work will help advance energy accessibility, stability, and affordability, building a foundation for a sustainable energy economy.
Key Responsibilities: Design and Implement Renewable Energy Systems: Develop custom renewable energy systems, such as solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, wind energy setups, and hybrid storage systems.
You'll tailor solutions to meet specific energy needs, ensuring that systems are efficient, scalable, and cost-effective.
Integrate Energy Systems with Smart Grid Infrastructure: Collaborate on projects that integrate renewable energy systems with smart grid technology, supporting real-time energy monitoring, load balancing, and demand response.
You'll ensure seamless connectivity and interoperability between systems.
Conduct Feasibility and Performance Analysis: Analyze project sites, energy requirements, and environmental factors to assess the feasibility of renewable energy projects.
You'll simulate energy output, optimize designs, and evaluate potential returns to guide project decisions.
Develop Energy Management Software and Monitoring Tools: Create or customize software and digital tools for real-time monitoring, data logging, and performance tracking of renewable systems.
You'll develop dashboards and analytics to provide insights into energy generation, consumption, and storage.
Optimize System Performance and Efficiency: Use data analysis and predictive modeling to maximize system performance, improve energy yields, and minimize maintenance costs.
You'll identify opportunities for enhancing system efficiency and longevity through technology upgrades or new configurations.
Ensure Compliance with Regulatory Standards: Ensure that all systems comply with relevant energy regulations and industry standards.
You'll ensure that renewable energy projects meet environmental guidelines, grid regulations, and safety protocols.
Stay Updated on Emerging Renewable Technologies: Keep abreast of advancements in renewable technologies, such as battery storage, smart inverters, and hybrid systems.
You'll explore new innovations to incorporate into system designs and maintain industry best practices.
Requirements Required Skills: Renewable Energy System Design Expertise: Extensive experience in designing and implementing renewable energy systems, including solar PV, wind, hybrid systems, and energy storage.
You're familiar with energy conversion and storage principles and can optimize for maximum efficiency.
Software Development and Data Integration: Proficiency in software development for energy management systems, with skills in languages like Python, C++, or MATLAB.
You know how to integrate data from sensors, smart meters, and control systems to enable real-time monitoring and performance analysis.
Feasibility and Technical Analysis: Strong analytical skills in conducting feasibility studies, including load assessments, energy simulation, and return-on-investment calculations.
You're skilled in using tools such as HOMER, PVSyst, or SAM for system analysis.
Smart Grid and IoT Knowledge: Understanding of smart grid technology, IoT applications, and distributed energy resources.
You're experienced in integrating systems with grid infrastructure and supporting two-way energy flows and demand response.
Collaboration and Communication: Excellent collaboration skills, with experience working in multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, environmental scientists, and utility stakeholders.
You can explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Educational Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Renewable Energy Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Equivalent experience in renewable systems development or smart grid integration is highly valued.
Certifications in renewable energy systems, smart grid technology, or energy management are a plus.
Experience Requirements: 3+ years of experience in renewable energy systems development, with hands-on experience in system design, installation, and performance optimization.
Experience with renewable energy software tools and data integration platforms is highly desirable.
Familiarity with renewable energy regulations and compliance standards is advantageous.
