What you'll do We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Release Train Engineer (RTE) to join Vodafone.
As an RTE, you will play a pivotal role in orchestrating and facilitating the Agile Release Train (ART) process across Vodafone, ensuring the successful and timely delivery of high-quality software products that our customers will love.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Agile methodologies, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
A deep understanding of value stream management principle, the software delivery lifecycle, and the ability to drive innovation and efficiency within our technology delivery processes are all critical attributes.
Vodafone are at the start of their Value Stream journey and you will be a leader that is also able to effectively articulate the key benefits, define the key measurements, and report back on progress against those Key Results to build senior leadership consensus and support as well as securing any required funding and investment across the value stream.
You will have a strong understanding of Agile principles and frameworks, particularly SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework).
You will ideally have be a Certified SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
You will have Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across teams and levels of the organisation.
You will have effective facilitation skills for leading large group ceremonies.
You will have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
You will have the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
You will have proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, product owners, and business stakeholders.
Who you are You will act as a central point of contact for the release train, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across all teams.
You will coordinate dependencies and facilitate resolution of impediments to keep the release train on track.
You will drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Agile Release Train, identifying areas for optimization and implementing best practices.
You will foster a culture of innovation and adaptability to enhance the efficiency of the release process.
You will proactively identify and manage risks and issues that may impact the successful delivery of the release train.
You will work with teams to develop mitigation plans and ensure timely resolution of impediments.
You will establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of the Agile Release Train.
You will provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders on the progress and performance of the release train.
