This is a newly created position within the Place Directorate where you will play a key role in the co-ordination of our workstreams relating to private sector high rise building safety.
You will have a key role in developing new systems, processes and procedures to enable the City Council to respond to the high rise building challenges that have been identified following the Grenfell Enquiry.
You will work in partnership with a range of internal council teams including Housing Strategy, Building Control, Planning Control and Office of the City Mayor.
In addition you will work collaboratively with external partners including DLUHC, GMCA, GMFRS and the Building Safety Regulator within HSE.
The role will require the project management and co-ordination of emerging work streams including internal meetings and associated governance arrangements and the identification of both high and medium rise buildings across the City.
The successful candidate will also create and management of data sets identifying high rise/medium rise buildings which require building safety remediation and take a lead role in the delivery of workstreams to increase the pace of cladding remediation across the City.
