[[extTitle]] The Regulatory Policy Strategist within Regulatory Policy and Intelligence team, is responsible for maximizing our external advocacy efforts through setting the key Regulatory policy priorities and ensuring aligned positions on key topics of strategic importance to our business that have the potential to impact our portfolio and pipeline.
In doing so they will help shape the external environment through coordination of the external regulatory advocacy effort.
It ensures we are future thinking, and looking at how we can shape what is on the horizon through advocacy for self-care enabling regulatory frameworks for the benefit of our consumers and access to sustainable self-care solutions.
The successful candidate will be assigned to act as a liaison to trade associations to represent Bayer Consumer Health position on regulatory matters and will coach train others on best practice for external advocacy in this area.
Major Tasks • Responsible for the framework of assessment and agreement of policy priorities at global level.
• Thorough research and development of global regulatory policy positions on key topics in conjunction with internal subject matter experts within Consumer health and across the broader Bayer business.
• Development of advocacy strategies and stakeholder mapping to influence the external landscape across a range of topics including measures to enable self-care readiness through to ingredient advocacy and defence.
• Responsible for leading the evolution of Policy Forums within Bayer.
• Support localization of policy advocacy strategy • Advocacy training for Regulatory • Ensuring alignment and close collaboration between Regulatory Affairs and public/government affairs teams within the organization.

Collaborations: Regulatory, Medical, Safety and Compliance (RMSC) teams, global, local and regional Regulatory Affairs teams Regional and Country Regulatory Heads Trade Associations (Global and Regional bodies) Relevant subject matter experts across the technical functions including R&D, Public Affairs/Government affairs, Medical, Clinical, Packaging etc Who you are?
Extensive experience in comparable position Proven Global regulatory experience in Consumer Health Experience working on regulatory on relevant consumer health classifications– OTC, cosmetics, food supplements Experience in Regulatory Policy –proven experience working with Consumer Health sector trade associations Excellent communication and presentation skills – orally and written English.
Highly effective at distilling complex issues into simplicity Relationship building and collaboration skills alongside expert influencing skills critical.
Business savvy and commercial orientation.
