The Opportunity An exciting role awaits a dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse at a clinic located in Houghton-le-Spring. This independent practice focuses on a limited group of small animals allowing for specialised care in a calm and welcoming environment tailored to their needs. The clinic is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, and you'll have the chance to work within a passionate and knowledgeable team, surrounded by like-minded professionals who are dedicated to the unique needs.

Key Responsibilities Deliver exceptional nursing care, including monitoring and caring for in-patients. Assist with surgeries and anaesthetic monitoring, ensuring a high standard of care. Conduct nurse-led consultations and provide advice on specific preventative healthcare and nutrition. Support in diagnostic testing, including blood sampling, radiography, and lab work. Ensure smooth patient admissions and discharges, maintaining effective communication with pet owners. Maintain compliance with regulatory, practice, and operational standards, contributing to a safe and efficient clinic environment. Requirements RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse with a passion for small animal. Strong communication skills and an ability to work effectively with both clients and colleagues. Confidence in assisting with surgical and diagnostic procedures, and handling anaesthesia. A commitment to providing empathetic and compassionate care to all patients.
