Job summary The Rapid Response team are looking for an enthusiastic Registered Nursing Associate to join the team.Applicants should have previous experience at Band 4 within a hospital or community setting, and demonstrate transferable clinical skills as detailed in the job description and personal specification; however training would be available where required.Come join us to work at Luton and work with us towards integration in delivering care to achieving our better together programme.Due to the nature of the role it is essential that applicants are able to travel effectively and independently on a daily basis to and from the base, clients' homes and other venues around the geographical area whilst transporting equipment.

Main duties of the job The Nursing Associate has a breadth of knowledge across the lifespan of patients and across the fields of nursing, providing holistic and person-centred care and support for people of all ages and in a variety of settings.The Nursing Associate works independently under the leadership of registered nurses who work within the sphere of nursing and care.Nursing Associates are equipped with the knowledge, understanding, skills, attitudes and behaviours relevant to employment as a Nursing Associate and will work to a nationally recognised code of conduct.

Communication skills of engagement, negotiation, motivation and explanation will be required to enable the management of potential barriers to communication.
To be actively involved in the communication of complex information regarding clients needs and any other useful information to the Adult Nursing Team, and/or other appropriate medical services (such as GP) and members of the wider Adult Services team.

People Management Actively participate in annual performance reviews providing evidence of attaining the relevant knowledge and skills required for the job.
To attend mandatory and relevant training courses and to maintain up to date clinical knowledge and skills in order to perform in the role.
To participate in staff and service development through attendance at service meetings and in service training.
Clinical and Practice Governance Observe and maintain strict confidentiality with regards to any information in line with the requirements of the Data Protection Act.
Any data that is taken/shared as part of a phone call or transported, faxed or transferred electronically must be undertaken with regard to the Trust Information Governance and Information Security policies.
The post holder must adhere to the Trust risk assessment and risk management processes.
To contribute in programmes of support for new staff or students.
To actively participate in programmes of supervision to maintain own development and reflective practice.

The post holder is required to participate in relevant emergency preparedness process for their team.
