More detail about the role We're looking for Adult or Children's Nurses, passionate about providing exceptional care to children and young people, where you can add some magic, fun, or extra reassurance.
No two days are the same as part of our Nursing team on Bramble!
If you enjoy variety, this role has lots to offer, gaining skills and experience across all areas of the department.
You'll play a key role in assessing care needs and helping to create care programmes.
With support from a Band 6 or above Registered Children's Nurse, you'll put these programmes into action.
You'll provide high-quality, compassionate care, that meets agreed standards.
Everything you do will be part of a supportive team nursing framework.
On occasion, you may be asked to work in other areas of the Royal Devon where children are being cared for, such as NNU/ED About Bramble Ward Our recently refurbished jungle themed Children's Ward has a -bed inpatient area, four bed Paediatric High Dependency Unit and a day surgery area.
Our service also provides a Paediatric Assessment Unit, Day Care Unit, Outpatient Department, and Oncology Day Case Unit.
Our play team have created an inviting and inclusive space where patients of all ages can play.
From soft play for the youngest and a chill out area with a PS5 for the eldest!
Preceptorship for newly qualified Nurses It's important to us for you to enjoy your first Nursing role.
We know that it can feel a little daunting starting your Nursing career and that's why we've developed an outstanding preceptorship programme to help get you settled and guide you through the first year.
You'll be supported with a mentor, an induction, and supernumerary period, plus have access to professional Nurse Advocates, specially trained to provide support in clinical practice.
Career development and training Bramble benefits from two Practice Educators, dedicated to supporting and developing your skills and knowledge.
Whether you are a newly qualified Children's Nurse or an experienced Adult Nurse, you'll be supported to complete your competencies, gain new skills, and qualifications.
Once you've found your feet, it's only natural to start looking at progression and development opportunities.
We'll help you to grow your skills and we'll invest in your training and development, providing CPD, paid study leave, and funding for specialist qualifications.
Working Pattern: Full time and part time hours are available, to include internal rotation to night duty and weekends.
