Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for you to join our friendly team in the Radiology Department within the Outpatient Service at York Hospital.
We are currently open Monday-Friday between 8am-6pm.
Providing the local community with high quality care and services across a wide variety of specialties.
You will assist consultants to run specialist clinics and provide patients with treatments and procedures in a variety of different clinics.
You will work alongside Healthcare Support Workers to provide safe and efficient patient care.
Please note - this role is between the Radiology and Outpatient department in York Hospital and willinvolve working in radiology with the requirements of wearing lead protective aprons.
Main duties of the job Maintain a high standard of patient focused care in accordance with York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust policies and proceduresMaintain a safe and clean working environmentProvide assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care for patients, ensuring accurate written records are kept.Communicate with patients and carers to ensure they have access to appropriate information.Promote and maintain positive relationships between all staff involved in the care of the patientAct in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Council Code of ConductUndertake duties on different wards/departments as and when required by service demandsDemonstrate personal responsibility for compliance with infection control policies and proceduresEducation and Training This description indicates the main functions and responsibilities of the post.
