The Role As part of a multidisciplinary team the post holder will have responsibility for assessment of care needs and the development of programmes of care, and/or the implementation and evaluation of these programmes ensuring the delivery of high quality care to patients.

What we'll need you to bring Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration/ SVQIII in Operating Department Practice/Diploma in Operating Department Practice The post holder will be required to demonstrate excellent team working skills with the ability to work using own initiative Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team Excellent time management skills Working knowledge of basic information technology It would be great if you also have Evidence of further education/continuous professional development ILS Post graduate experience in Day Surgery Unit / theatre Experience of working within a Theatre Department.
Experience of anaesthetics Experience working with paediatric patients in Day surgery and / or theatre Vascular/ Interventional experience desirable Contract type Permanent Full time 37 hours Location and Working Pattern This role will be based in Theatre within University Hospital Monklands.

From 1 April 2024, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change workers in Scotland will be reduced.
Full-time hours will reduce from 37.5 to 37 hours (pro rata for part-time staff) without loss of earnings.
NHS Lanarkshire will implement this change but it may not be possible to fully transition from 1 April and there may therefore be some areas of the organisation where implementation may take longer.
If the department is currently unable to safely accommodate the reduced hours from 1st April, you may be required to work 37.5 hours per week until the department can meet the requirements without impacting patient safety - you will, of course, be remunerated accordingly.
NHS Lanarkshire is committed to full implementation of the 37 hour working week across all areas as soon as it is safe to do so.
