NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles.
We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
This is a fulltime, permanent post of 37 hours per week, with rotational shift pattern.
You need to have a live NMC UK pin/HCPC registration in order to be considered for this post.
This post require PVG Scheme membership /Disclosure Scotland Check.
IRH In Patient theatre An exciting opportunity has arose to work in In patient theatres In Inverclyde.
Band 5 In patient theatre practitioner required.
37 hour post available starting in recovery.
The unit consists of 6 operating theatres, and a recovery room.
The unit provides peri op care care for patients undergoing a range of surgical procedures including General Surgery, elective Orthopaedics, ophthalmology and cardiology.
Some theatre areas within Inverclyde have recently been upgraded as part of trauma redesign.
This has resulted in a new and inviting place to work.
In addition to having NMC/HCPC registration applicants should be enthusiastic, motivated and have an interest of working in the peri-operative environment.
The department offers team support and continuing education opportunities.
The successful candidates are required to demonstrate flexibility by working within a service, which runs over a 24 hour, 7 day week.
Furthermore, the successful candidates will be expected where necessary to engage in multi-site working within NHS Greater Glasgow and in order to achieve the needs of the service.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.
This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.
This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.
However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
