Main duties of the job What you will be responsible for Takethe lead and assist other staff in assessing service users needs, planning,implementing and evaluating care plans and interventions designed to meetservice users individual needs (in accordance with the model in use in theparticular service area) and enable them to exercise choice over their ownlives.
Activelyinvolve service users in developing and agreeing their own care plans and toact as an advocate for users of the service ensuring that there is properregard for their dignity, choice, self- esteem, racial, cultural, sexual andreligious needs and preferences.
Ensurethat risks are managed effectively and that an appropriate balance is achievedbetween risk and the benefit to the service user.
actas the Named Nurse and take responsibility for planning and providing care to adefined group of service users within the service and for communicating withother professionals, agencies, relatives and carers where that is appropriateand having due regard for issues of confidentiality.
The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing theabove.

Person Specification Experience Essential A minimum of 6 months paid experience as a Registered Nurse working with Learning Disabilities in a UK hospital environment within the last 3 years.
Qualifications Essential All Registered Nurse roles will be required to provide evidence of :- Statement of NMC Registration Degree /Diploma in Nursing
