Job summary An exciting vacancy opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with an interest in developing their Critical Care skills.The purpose-built Critical Care Unit in Bronglais General Hospital is looking for a Band 5 Nurse.
Main duties of the job Successful applicants will be fully supported whilst gaining experience in the care of critically ill patients undergoing a variety of critical care interventions.
Following orientation and completion of relevant competencies, staff will have the opportunity to access university based post-graduate course.The successful candidate will ideally demonstrate some knowledge of Critical Care Nursing, but this is not essential and have a willingness to develop their skills further, playing an integral part in integrating critical care across Bronglais.The applicants should be able to demonstrate the use of evidence-based practice and be proactive in managing change.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, together with a readiness to innovate and develop nursing within a team approach.The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Community facilities, including: 48 General Practices (GP surgeries), 49 Dental Practices, 98 Community Pharmacies (chemists), 44 General Ophthalmic Practices (including eye health and low vision services), 38 sites providing mental health and learning disability services, care within your own homes.
Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.
