Job Title: Residential Services Manager Purpose of the Role: Join a dedicated team providing comprehensive residential services for young people aged 7-17 with learning disabilities and associated challenging behavior.

Key Duties: Manage referrals into the service and maintain full occupancy.
Develop and implement a service development plan to ensure high-quality, clinically informed practices.
Ensure compliance with legislation in all clinical practices and medication processes.
Oversee the adherence to Health and Safety regulations, ensuring safe working practices for all staff.
Assess, review, and update the risks and needs of all children and young people in residence.
Provide high-quality support and transition services aligned with service specifications and local authority placement plans.
Uphold professional ethics and behavior among all staff.
Coordinate service provision, offering support, advice, and coaching to the staff team.
Maintain a clean and safe environment, ensuring the building is well-maintained, and repair issues are promptly addressed.
Liaise with regulatory organizations regarding the management of the home.
Adhere to financial and administrative procedures, working within a set budget.
Safeguard children and young people through sound management strategies and collaboration with external agencies.
Support staff in achieving the highest standards of care.
Assist in the management, appraisal, supervision, and support of residential staff.
Coordinate and monitor casework, administrative functions, and staff rotas.
Participate in the recruitment, vetting, interviewing, and induction of new staff.
Be part of an on-call system.
Manage the Care/Support Workers and Care/Support Assistants within the client's group.
Develop effective relationships with partners and commissioners, ensuring contract compliance and a positive reputation within the borough.
Promote and facilitate a range of inclusion opportunities and activities for children and young people.
Encourage and support the participation of children and young people in the running of the home.
Ensure the home operates in accordance with relevant legislation, standards, and guidance.
Responsibilities: Lead and shape the residential homes, managing the team to deliver high-quality care.
Support children aged 8 to 18 years old with complex behavioral, emotional, and social difficulties.
Advocate for the wellbeing of residents and provide strong, motivational leadership to staff.
Expectations: Act as a positive and supportive role model for young people in all aspects of work.
Demonstrate honesty, trustworthiness, reliability, and punctuality.
Work cooperatively with all young people and colleagues, treating them with dignity and respect.
Honor work commitments, arrangements, and agreements, including any authorized changes to rotas.
