Have you completed a Children's Nurse course and want to focused upon delivering a high standard of nursing care to children and their families?
We are looking for a forward thinking Children's Nurse who will work as a member of the MDT to provide care to the youngest of our patients within the post holder's scope of practice, under the supervision of a designated shift lead.
The role encompasses the skills of assessment, clinical prioritisation and care navigation; as well as general nursing duties within an agreed scope of practice.
The children's nurse is expected to be working within the National Curriculum and Competency Framework for Emergency Nursing levels 1 and 2 to safely care for children within Corby.
Working within their defined scope of practice, the nurse is expected to work and lead with the knowledge and skills required to safely care for children in a type 3 A&E stetting.
The post holder is required to be registered with the relevant professional body .
We're looking for Registration as a Children's Nurse by completing either the Postgraduate Diploma or the BSc in Children's Nursing Substantial experience, post registration, of managing acute undifferentiated presentations in an acute/urgent care setting Ability to triage (desirable) Evidence of understanding and insight into current issues in children's nursing. Coaching and Mentoring course i.e., 998 or equivalent (Desirable) Confidence and ability to accurately assess and manage complex patient presentations to a high professional standard Satisfactory DBS clearance Good understanding of autonomous practice within a minor illness/urgent care centre and the roles that deliver this Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience in using I.T.
based patient documentation systems.
