Registered Children's Home Manager Location : Swadlincote, Derbyshire
Salary : Up to £50,000 per year + up to £4,500 in bonuses
Are you an experienced Registered or Deputy Manager in children's residential care, ready to take on a fresh and rewarding challenge?
This is your chance to lead a brand-new 3-bed EBD home within a medium-sized, established company known for consistently achieving "Good" and "Outstanding" Ofsted ratings across its homes.
What You'll Be Doing As Registered Manager, you'll be the driving force behind creating a safe, nurturing home where young people can thrive.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Leading from the front – Overseeing all aspects of the home, ensuring full compliance with Ofsted regulations and compliance.
Tailored care plans – Creating and implementing personalised care plans that support young people's emotional, social, and educational development.
Building your team – Recruiting, training, and supervising a high-performing team that shares your passion for exceptional care.
Safeguarding lead – Taking responsibility for ensuring the safety and well-being of all young people at all times.
Promoting a positive culture – Creating a home that feels safe, supportive, and welcoming.
Collaboration – Working with multi-disciplinary teams, external agencies, and families to ensure the best outcomes for the young people in your care.
Budget management – Keeping everything running smoothly and efficiently by managing resources responsibly.
What We're Looking For We're after someone who's ready to hit the ground running, with the following:
Qualifications: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards it).
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in residential childcare, including 2 years in a leadership role.
Knowledge: A solid understanding of legislation, regulations, and Ofsted standards.
Track record: A history of delivering high standards of care and securing positive outcomes for young people.
Leadership skills: Strong organisational abilities, excellent communication, and a talent for inspiring and supporting your team.
Emotional resilience: The ability to handle complex situations calmly and with confidence.
