The Data Appeal Company is a leading provider of big data and real-time analytics for the tourism industry, specializing in transforming data into actionable insights.
Part of the Almawave Group, our 10-year-old company empowers destinations, tourism boards, and corporate organizations through innovative, AI-driven solutions.
Our primary products include DAI Destinations for tourism boards and DAI Coach for reputation management for corporate clients.
We are seeking a Regional Commercial Manager based in the UK or Italy to drive our commercial growth in North America .
This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned tourism industry professional with a deep understanding of technology's transformative role and experience navigating procurement processes in the public sector.
Key Responsibilities: Commercial Strategy & Development: Develop and execute commercial strategies in the region, positioning DAI Destinations and DAI Coach to align with regional needs.
Industry Thought Leadership: Represent The Data Appeal Co. as a thought leader at industry events and speaking engagements, sharing insights on data-driven innovation in tourism.
Pipeline Management: Build and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities, fostering new client relationships and expanding business with existing accounts.
This requires the ability to build strong relationships with public stakeholders.
Procurement & Public Sector Engagement: Experience with public tenders and procurement processes within government organizations and public sectors, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
Client Engagement: Act as the main point of contact for key clients, understanding their needs and demonstrating the value of our products in addressing industry challenges.
Collaboration & Innovation: Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Data teams to develop tailored solutions and articulate the benefits of DAI Destinations and DAI Coach effectively.
Data-Driven Analysis: Leverage data insights to inform sales strategies, track performance, and refine client solutions.
Qualifications: Tourism Industry Expertise: 4+ years in the tourism sector, experience in the public sector (e.g., tourism boards) or corporate tourism (hotel chains), and an established industry network.
Procurement Process Experience: Strong expertise in managing procurement and sales processes within government organizations and the public sector, with a thorough understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements.
Technology & Innovation Enthusiasm: Deep interest in how technology transforms tourism, with a track record of integrating innovative solutions into client proposals.
Analytical & Insightful: Skilled at translating data into actionable insights, providing meaningful recommendations and clear communication.
Public Speaking & Advocacy: Comfortable representing the company at industry events, panels, and conferences.
Languages: Fluency in English; Italian is preferred for communications with HQ, with additional European languages (Spanish, Portuguese, French) are a plus depending on region.
Entrepreneurial Spirit: Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset and a drive for continuous growth.
