Job summary Our service in the Borders is looking for a part time Recovery Worker to join them in providing high quality recovery care to a diverse client group.

Job description Job responsibilities If you are an enthusiastic and creative individual and are passionate about changing people's lives for the better, we'd love to hear from you.This role is specifically to provide support to clients pre, during and post entry to residential rehabilitation.
The role involves transporting clients to residential rehabilitation services in areas typically outside of the Scottish Borders for which travel expenses are reimbursed.
On occasion this role will require a degree of flexibility in working hours.This is a part time role working hours per week.
Please note for this role SVQ level 3 in Health & Social Care is required for SSSC registration purposes, a driving license and access to a vehicle is also essential.As a Recovery Worker you will be providing support and advice to people who are experiencing difficulties due to substance misuse.
You will have your own caseload, working as part of our team and alongside other social care services to identify how we can help.
You will develop plans with your clients to help them get their lives back to where they want them to be.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential SVQ level 3 in Social Services & Healthcare or equivalent Registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) or meet the registration requirements Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle You will also need to meet our safeguarding requirements of a satisfactory enhanced PVG check.
Experience Essential To be successful in this role you will: have some experience of working in a health, social care, or related setting have the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and colleagues alike be able to work effectively in a team, supporting others when needed be resilient under pressure and able to prioritise you work have good oral and written communication skills be comfortable using IT and digital media be organised and able to manage your time effectively able to be flexible with your working hours on occasion be happy to support other With You locations when needed Desirable We'll give your application priority if you: have previous experience of working with people who misuse substances knowledge of health and safety, including assessing client in high-risk situations A full job description and person specification is available on request.
