About Us Belfast Boat Club is a vibrant and inclusive sports club dedicated to providing an exceptional experience for our members.
Were passionate about fostering community, promoting active lifestyles, and supporting sports and fitness for people of all ages and abilities.
The club has invested heavily in new facilities including Padel Tennis and the reception team will play a key role in servicing and promoting these facilities.
Job Overview We are looking for an enthusiastic and organized Reception & Membership Coordinator to be the welcoming face of our club.
This role will involve managing front-desk operations, ensuring fees are paid, handling membership inquiries, coordinating new sign-ups, and ensuring that members feel valued and supported.
Key Responsibilities Front Desk Management: Serve as the first point of contact for members and visitors, handling inquiries in person, over the phone, and via email.
Membership Coordination: Assist with new membership registrations, renewals, and cancellations.
Keep records up-to-date in our membership management system.
Member Engagement: Proactively engage with members to ensure a positive experience, respond to their needs, and promote club events and activities.
Administrative Support: Assist with daily club operations, including scheduling, managing bookings, and maintaining a clean and welcoming reception area.
Event Support: Help coordinate and promote club events, competitions, and social activities.
Communication: Keep members informed of club updates, news, and events via newsletters, emails, and noticeboards.
Skills & Qualifications Customer Service Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in hospitality, fitness, or sports.
Excellent Communication Skills: Friendly, professional, and able to engage with people of all ages and backgrounds.
Strong Organisational Skills: Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and keep accurate records.
Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with membership or booking software is a plus.
Team Player: Enthusiastic, reliable, and able to work well with other team members and volunteers.
Flexibility: Able to work a range of shifts from 8.30am-10pm Passion for Sports and Fitness: An understanding or interest in sports and fitness will be highly valued.
