Receptionist/AdministratorSevenoaksFull time - 37 hours per week, Hours: 8.15am to 4.30pmTerm Time only plus additional inset days Our client, a reputable school in Sevenoaks, is seeking a friendly and efficient Receptionist/Administrator to join their dynamic team.
As the first point of contact for visitors, you will play a crucial role in providing a welcoming and professional reception service.
This is a great opportunity to contribute to the welfare and care of children.Responsibilities:Greet personal visitors and respond to inquiries in a timely mannerAnswer telephone calls and relay messages to staff via email or verballyHandle general email enquiries and follow up when requiredMaintain an organised filing system for student documents Undertake training on school communication and IT systemsUpdate database with pupil attendance updates, working closely with the Attendance OfficerProcess and distribute incoming postAssist in coordinating internal events, ensuring smooth operations and effective stakeholder communicationUndertake ad-hoc projects and duties Health and Safety / First Aid:Provide basic first aid to students when needed (training will be provided)Comply with relevant health, safety, welfare, and statutory requirementsSupport the organisation's implementation of current statutory regulations, including child protection and equal opportunitiesRequirements:Excellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in using Outlook, Excel, and Word, including mail mergesExperience with Bromcom is highly desirable, although training can be providedPerson Specification:Proven experience in administration, with accurate letter composition abilityExcellent organisational skills, including the ability to multitask, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlinesDiscretion, sensitivity, and diplomacyOutstanding interpersonal, oral, and written communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Ability to engage with personnel and children within a school environmentKnowledge and experience of whole school procedures, organisation, and structureFamiliarity with BromCom would be advantageousQualifications:A-level equivalent education with a minimum of a C grade in GCSE English and MathsIf you are a friendly and organised individual with a passion for providing exceptional reception and administrative support in an educational setting, we would love to hear from you.
