Job summary Salters Meadow Centre is looking for a motivated and friendly Receptionist for our busy GP Surgery in Burntwood.
This is for 32 hours per week, shifts as follows:Monday - - Tuesday - - 5pm (1hr unpaid lunch)Wednesday - - Thursday - 8am - 5pm (1hr unpaid lunch)Friday 12noon - The successful candidate will be confident, professional with excellent telephone and customer service skills.
You must have the ability to work under pressure, to work as part of a team and be flexible.
Experience of using the EMIS Web clinical system is preferable.
Main duties of the job Candidates must have an excellent telephone manner, customer service skills and be computer literate.
Duties will include answering the telephones, making appointments, provide patients with the appropriate guidance as needed, maintain patient records plus other admin tasks.Knowledge of EMIS web and Docman preferred.Team work is essential.
About us Salters Meadow Centre has a practice population of approximately 12000 patients.
We have 4 GP Partners, an Advanced Nurse Practitioners, a team of Practice Nurses, a Health Care Assistant and an established Reception/Admin/Clerical team.We are also supported by the PCN who provide various roles within practice.
Job description Job responsibilities Excellent communication and telephone skills are essential as you will be receiving and responding to requests from patients, carers, and other healthcare providers as well as liaising with other members of the surgery team.
You will have the ability to be organised and be able to multi-task in a fast-paced working environment.
Experience in an NHS reception post would be desirable but not essential.
