Part of the Affidea group, Hillsborough Private Clinic is the leading provider of Ophthalmology, Gastroenterology, Foot Surgery, Urology and other services and treatments in Northern Ireland.
Working with the expert consultants and surgeons in the country, Hillsborough Private Clinic is renowned for the quality care and service provided.
We are looking for a Receptionist to join our admin team.
As the first point of contact, the successful candidate will provide a welcoming, efficient, and professional reception service.
This role will also involve administrative duties.
This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who has some customer service experience, is well organised, a good communicator and is keen to build their career path in the healthcare industry.
Responsibilities: Greet patients and visitors and direct them appropriately.
Become proficient with the clinic's booking system and ensure all appointments, clinic availability and patient details are up to date.
Become knowledgeable of our clinics' services and consultants who practise.
Answer phone calls, emails and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
Deal with customer queries efficiently and professionally.
Book patient appointments Ensure files are prepared for clinics as required.
Process customer payments.
Manage stationery supplies.
Handle all incoming and outgoing mail.
Ensure compliance with GDPR/Data protection policy and procedures.
Take responsibility for the upkeep and tidiness of the main reception area.
Assist in the setting up of clinic rooms and organising refreshments when required.
Support the wider team, including working within Orthoderm Clinic (our sister clinic) when required.
Essential criteria: Experience working in a customer facing role.
Excellent customer service skills and telephone manner.
Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
Excellent organisational skills.
Competent in the use of Microsoft Office.
Ability to deal with confidential/sensitive issues appropriately.
Ability to work well as a part of a team and use own initiative when required.
Flexible to work evenings as required.
Experience of working in a healthcare environment is desirable but not essential.
